Correction: Total Voting Rights

In correction of the 'Total Voting Rights' announcement made on 3 July 2012 Genel Energy plc (the 'Company') advises that its capital consists of 280,248,198 ordinary shares of 0.10p each of which 213,736,679 are voting ordinary shares and 66,511,519 are suspended voting ordinary shares. The voting rights of the 213,736,679 voting ordinary shares are identical, with each share carrying the right to one vote. The Company holds no ordinary shares in Treasury.

The above figure of 213,736,679 may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Genel Energy Plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
