His appointment further strengthens the Company's team as it focuseson creating increased value from its assets and developing its strategy ofexpanding into gold mining through the acquisition of known deposits withtargets of between 200,000 and two million ounces of gold contained. Mr. Austin has been working in the South African mining industry since 1981 invarious positions, both in mine management and geology. Prior to joiningGoldplat, he was Vice President Operations for AIM listed Mano River Resources,where he completed a feasibility study for its Liberian gold property. Otherkey positions he has held include Gold Division Consulting Geologist for JCI andSenior Generative Geologist for Placer Dome Exploration Africa.
