Appointment of Non-executive Director

GCM Resources plc ("GCM" or the "Company"), an AIM quoted mining and energy company, is pleased to announce the appointment of Christian Taylor-Wilkinson to the Board as an independent Non-Executive Director, with immediate effect.

Christian Taylor-Wilkinson, (aged 50) has spent his working life in the City and has over 30 years' experience advising and working alongside companies across many sectors and geographies. He founded Leander PR Ltd, a small cap focused financial public relations agency in April 2009.

Christian's background spans investment banking, investor relations and financial PR, which gives him a broad perspective on the capital markets landscape as well as a deep understanding of the needs of businesses, their boards and their shareholders. He has worked with a wide range of companies - from global European and Asian telecommunications businesses to smaller AIM and NEX enterprises.

After joining the board of NEX listed Altona Energy plc, in January 2019, he now divides his time between running the day-to-day business of Altona, where he is Interim CEO, and providing financial communications and corporate advice to smaller listed companies, through Leander PR.

Utilising the latest highly energy efficient power generating technology the Phulbari coal mine is capable of supporting power plants of up to 6,000MW. GCM is awaiting approval from the Government of Bangladesh to develop the Project. The Company has a strategy of combining the Company's mine proposal with up to 6,000MW of power generation, together with credible, internationally recognised strategic partners. GCM aims to deliver a practical power solution to provide the cheapest electricity in the country, in a manner amenable to the Government of Bangladesh.
