GAIL (India) Limited12 January 2006 LETTER TO: RNS Approval of payment of an Interim Dividend for the Financial Year 2005-06 This is in compliance of the Listing Agreement. It is stated that the Board of Directors of the Company in its meeting heldtoday i.e. 12th January, 2006 have, inter alia, approved payment of an interimdividend @60%, on the paid-up equity share capital of the Company for theFinancial Year 2005-06. The said interim dividend shall be payable withreference to the 'Record Date' i.e. Tuesday, the 17th January, 2006, fixed forthe said purpose, which has already been informed vide our letter of evenreference dated 28th December, 2005.
