fastjet and Venere.com sign strategic partnership agreement

fastjet, Africa's low cost airline, is pleased to announce a pan-African hotel partnership agreement with Venere.com, a member of Expedia Inc., the world's largest online travel company. Through this partnership, fastjet customers will be able to access and purchase rooms at Venere.com's complete inventory of hotels via the airline's booking channels.

The Venere functionality will be initially launched as a 'co-brand' product, available via www.fastjet.com, but will later be fully integrated into the booking process. This will allow passengers to add accommodation to flight bookings and complete purchases using fastjet's increasingly popular mobile solutions.

Commenting on the agreement, Richard Pfäffli, Head of Business Development at Venere.com, said: "Venere is delighted to be partnering with fastjet. This partnership shows the company's commitment to growing our customer base via strategic partners in key emerging markets"

Ellis Cain-Jones, Head of Commercial at fastjet, said: "This is another key milestone in the roll-out of fastjet's ancillary products and revenue generation plan. Accommodation is a natural add-on for both our leisure and business customers and this partnership offers an extensive choice of hotels across the continent.
