New Product Launch
Launch of UK's first battery-powered Natural Gas Alarm
Sprue (AIM: SPRP), one of Europe's leading developers and suppliers of home safety products, today announces the launch of the UK's first battery-powered "Natural Gas Detector", a major new product innovation for the Company, under the Group's FireAngel® brand.
The FireAngel® Natural Gas Detector is uniquely powered by replaceable batteries and is simple to use as a portable or freestanding device. Designed and independently tested to meet the European standard for domestic combustible gas detectors (BS EN 50194), the unit features a semi-conductor catalytic sensor that continuously detects combustible gas plus "smart" test, silence and reset buttons for ease of use.
The FireAngel® Natural Gas Detector extends the Group's product range and broadens Sprue's potential addressable market to more than 300 million households in mainland Europe and over 25 million in the UK alone. Not only is natural gas explosive, it can also cause death by suffocation and its presence is not always detected.
