European Exchange-Traded Fnd Co.PLC03 December 2007 Stock Exchange Announcement For immediate release 3 December 2007 European Exchange-Traded Fund Company plc (the "Company") Re: Resignation and Appointment of Director The Board of Directors (the "Directors") of the Company wish to announce theresignation of Christopher Sutton as a Director of the Company with effect from28 March 2007 and the appointment of Timothy West with effect from 3 December2007. Timothy West is the chief operating officer of iShares Europe, the exchangetraded fund business of Barclays Global Investors. Prior to joining BarclaysGlobal Investors, Mr West was a founding director of Bluerock Consulting andprior to that was in Private Banking and Corporate Finance with UBS. Mr Weststarted his career in management consulting with Price Waterhouse. 1999-2005 Founding Partner and Managing Consultant at Bluerock Consulting 2005-date Chief Operating Officer, iShares Europe at Barclays Global Investors Timothy West has never: (i) had any unspent convictions in relation to indictable offences; or (ii) been bankrupt or the subject of a voluntary arrangement, or has had areceiver appointed to any of his assets; or (iii) been a director of any company which, while he was a director with anexecutive function or within 12 months after he ceased to be a director with anexecutive function, had a receiver appointed or went into compulsoryliquidation, creditors voluntary liquidation, administration or companyvoluntary arrangements, or made any composition or arrangements with itscreditors generally or with any class of its creditors; or (iv) been a partner of any partnership, which while he was a partner or within12 months after he ceased to be a partner, went into compulsory liquidation,administration or partnership voluntary arrangement, or had a receiver appointedto any partnership asset; (v) had any public criticism by statutory or regulatory authorities (includingrecognised professional bodies); or (vi) been disqualified by a court from acting as a director or from acting inthe management or conduct of affairs of any company. A memorandum detailing the names of all companies and partnerships of which Mr.West has been a director or partner in the past five years, together with anindication of whether or not he is still a director or partner, is available forinspection at the Offices of Goodbody Stockbrokers, Ballsbridge Park,Ballsbridge, Dublin 4. The delay in making this announcement in relation the the resignation of Mr.Christopher Sutton to the Irish Stock Exchange was due to an administrativeerror on the part of the Fund.
