Board Changes

essensys plc (AIM:ESYS), the leading global provider of software and technology to the flexible workspace industry, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sian Herbert as Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee on 1 July 2025. Sian will succeed Charles Butler, who is stepping down as member of the Board and Chair of the Audit Committee at the end of June to pursue other interests.

Sian has an extensive career in the City, spanning 35 years' experience within both the financial services and technology sectors, specifically within audit, accounting, risk, regulation and governance. This experience positions Sian to offer invaluable insight and significant strength to the essensys Board.

Sian spent a successful 25 years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP ("PwC"), with 15 years as Partner. As partner, Sian developed in depth expertise in financial services, e-money and payment services, advising on risk, regulatory change and the increasing impact of technology on the sector. Over her extensive career, Sian has held a variety of leadership and senior board level positions and is a recognised expert at providing strategic advice and guidance to companies within the financial service sector. Since July 2020, Sian has held Independent Non-Executive Director and Chair of Audit and Risk Committee roles at Mitsubishi HC Capital UK PLC and AIM quoted Equals Group plc, as well as Audit Committee Chair for HBL Bank UK Limited.

Outside of these leadership positions, Sian is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as a Member of the Hong Kong Society of Accountants.
