BOARD CHANGES

Essentra plc ("Essentra" or "the Company") today announces the following Board changes which will take effect following the Company's 2017 Annual General Meeting on 19 April 2018.

Terry Twigger will step down from his current roles as Senior Independent Director ("SID") and Chairman of the Audit Committee, and will retire from the Board of Essentra. Terry joined Essentra as a Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee in 2009, and was subsequently appointed as SID in 2014.

Tommy Breen, who joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in 2015, will be appointed to the role of SID. Tommy recently retired as Chief Executive of DCC plc - the international sales, marketing, distribution and business support services group - and brings significant experience to the position, having successfully grown diverse businesses both organically and via acquisition during his 30-year career with DCC.

Mary Reilly, who joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in 2017, will be appointed Chairman of the Audit Committee. Having previously been a Partner at Deloitte LLP for more than twenty years, as well as serving on a number of Boards since 2000, Mary has extensive accounting, finance and international management experience.

I have no doubt that their extensive experience, gained in a variety of industries and over a number of years, will add considerable perspective and valued stewardship as Essentra continues its successful evolution."
