AGM Statement, Director Retirement, Appointment of New CEO and Notice of Results

Empresaria, the international specialist staffing group, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at 1.00pm. At the meeting the Chairman, Tony Martin, will make the following statement:

"Joost Kreulen, who is one of the directors retiring by rotation at the AGM, has advised the Board of his decision not to seek re-election. He therefore retires from his position as Chief Executive Officer. Consequently, the proposed resolution 4 set out in the Notice of Annual General Meeting has been withdrawn.

Spencer Wreford has been appointed the Chief Executive Officer of the Group. Spencer joined the Board in 2010, initially as Group Finance Director, before taking the role of Chief Operating Officer in 2017. With his experience and understanding of the Group's operations and culture, Spencer is uniquely positioned to take over as Chief Executive Officer. He has worked closely with Joost for the last eight years and as such we expect a smooth transition into the new role.

Joost will continue to be involved with the Group as a part-time consultant, with a specific focus on the Group's operations in Germany and Austria. With this ongoing support, the appointment of Tim Anderson as Group Finance Director and other hires made in the head office team, there is no current intention to replace the Chief Operating Officer role.

The Board would like to thank Joost for his contribution to the success of the Group. He has been instrumental in the delivery of record adjusted profit before tax for each of the last three financial years, as well as building and strengthening the multi branded group. He leaves his current role with the Group in a strong financial position, ready for the next phase of development."

Joost Kreulen said:

"After nine years with Empresaria, six as Chief Executive Officer, now is the time for me to reduce my travel commitments to spend my working time closer to home. I have worked closely with Spencer for over eight years and I am confident that he will continue to develop and grow the Group in the coming years."

"The Group remains on course to meet market expectations for the full year. A trading update will be published on 25 July 2018 and interim results for the six months ending 30 June 2018 will be published on 22 August 2018."
