Electric Word PLC19 June 2006 19 June 2006 Electric Word plc Pre-close update for the six months ended 31 May 2006 Electric Word plc, the specialist information publisher, is providing thefollowing update for six months ended 31 May 2006 prior to entering its closeperiod and ahead of its interim results announcement on 21 August 2006. The Company's trading performance in the first half is in line with the Board'sexpectations and good progress is expected for the full year. Following theExtraordinary General Meeting held on the 31 May, the Company has successfullycompleted the acquisition of Chris Kington Publishing. The acquisitions ofSportBusiness Group and Incentive Plus this year are integrating well andcontinue to progress according to plan. Chief Executive, Julian Turner commented: "It has been a busy year to date with highly complementary acquisitions in bothof our main markets of Public Sector and Sport.
