Significant Gold Mineralisation at Kliening

Significant Gold Mineralisation at Kliening - Update of results

Noricum Gold Limited, the Austrian focussed gold exploration and development company, is pleased to announce the delineation of further high grade gold ('Au') and silver ('Ag') results from its 49 sq km Kliening gold project in Austria ('Kliening' or 'the Project'), following infill sampling of hole BB-07-01. Initial results from the Company's 2,000 metre drill programme at the Project were announced in the RNS dated 5 September 2011. Further reconnaissance sampling has also defined high grade gold at the Mischlinggraben Target within the Kliening area with results up to 25.5 g/t Au.

Highlights

·; Highly encouraging shallow high grade Au and Ag results at Kliening further demonstrates the multi element potential of the Project

·; BB-07-01 included 4.47g/t Au and 9.54g/t Ag over 2 metres and 4.71 g/t Au and 21.99g/t Ag over 0.5 metres from depths less than 12 metres from surface

·; Anomalous tungsten of 0.36% also identified in one of the samples - potential to represent an extension of known mineralisation south east from the drilling position

·; Additional surface sampling at Kliening returning grades up to 25.5 g/t Ag

·; Drilling continuing at Rotgülden with results from assays expected within the coming weeks

Noricum Gold Managing Director Greg Kuenzel said, "Kliening continues to deliver prospective high grade gold and silver results close to surface and whilst we are still in an early stage of the development curve, these results provide further confidence in our geological model and assumptions regarding the expanding potential of the project area. The presence of tungsten, of a similar grade to that of the largest operating tungsten mine in Europe owned by Mittersill, is notable and is worthy of follow up work.

"As announced on 28 September, drilling is continuing at Rotgülden with work commencing last week on drill hole BL-02, the fifth and final hole at this site. The work to date is looking highly encouraging and we should have assay results within a couple of weeks."

Table 1 shows the result of follow-up sampling around mineralised intercepts at the third drill hole BB-07-01 from Kliening. This drill hole was located on the eastern end of the lode system and intersected anomalous gold, silver and copper mineralisation in sulphidic quartz lodes very near surface. The Kliening gold project is located circa 100km east of Rotgülden in south-central Austria, an area that has a history of gold/arsenic mining.

Sampling of the above intercepts has also uncovered anomalous tungsten (0.36%) in one of the samples. Tungsten can often be associated with amphibolites and this may represent an extension of known mineralisation south east from the drilling position.

Tungsten is mined in Austria in the Felbertal Valley at the Mittersill underground tungsten mine, the largest operating tungsten mine in Europe. The grade encountered above is similar to that of the grade mined at Felbertal Valley.

Mischlinggraben Target

The Mischlinggraben Target is located on the Kliening tenure and is the proposed northern continuation of the Kliening mineralised system. Samples were taken from around the main adit at the project which is still accessible and where ore is still exposed.

The mineralisation here is generally quartz vein related with widths around 0.5m in thickness where native gold can be found in sulphides such as pyrite, arsenopyrite and silver and antimony sulphosalts.

Competent Person

The information in this report that relates to Exploration Results, Mineral Resources or Ore Reserves is based on information compiled by Jeremy Whybrow, who is a Member of The Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy.

Jeremy Whybrow is a director of the company.

Jeremy Whybrow has sufficient experience, relevant to the style of mineralisation and type of deposit under consideration and to the activity which he is undertaking, to qualify as a Competent Person as defined in the 2004 Edition of the 'Australasian Code for Reporting of Exploration Results, Mineral Resources and Ore Reserves'. Jeremy Whybrow consents to the inclusion in the report of the matters based on his information in the form and context in which it appears.

Glossary

Adit A type of entrance to an underground mine which is horizontal or nearly horizontal

Amphibolite a rock composed largely or dominantly of minerals of the amphibole group. The term has been applied to rocks of either igneous or metamorphic origin

Amphibole is the name of an important group of generally dark-colored rock-forming inosilicate minerals, composed of double chain SiO4 tetrahedra, linked at the vertices and generally containing ions of iron and/or magnesium in their structures

Arsenopyrite An iron arsenic sulphide, FeAsS, often associated with gold mineralisation

Mineralised Containing ore minerals

Mineralisation The process by which minerals are introduced into a rock. More generally, a term applied to accumulations of economic or related minerals in quantities ranging from weakly anomalous to economically recoverable.

Geophysical

Survey A prospecting technique which measures the physical properties (magnetism, conductivity, density) of rocks and defines anomalies for further testing

Pyrite An iron sulphide mineral, FeS2

Pyrrhotite An unusual iron sulphide mineral with a variable iron content

Quartz A very common mineral in sedimentary, magmatic, metamorphic, and hydrothermal environments: SiO2

Sulphide a compound of sulphur and some other element that is more electropositive

Strike A geological term which describes a horizontal line on the surface of a dipping stratum. The strike is 90° to the dip of the stratum.

Vein/veinlet A fracture which has been filled by minerals which have crystallised from mineralised fluids.
