Board Changes

Noricum Gold Limited, the European focused base and precious metals resource development company, is pleased to announce that it has appointed Neil O'Brien and Peter Damouni to its Board of Directors as Non-Executive Directors with immediate effect. 

Dr. Neil O'Brien is the Senior Vice President, Exploration & New Business Development of Toronto/Stockholm-listed base metal miner Lundin Mining Corporation and is the longest serving officer of this company. He holds a PhD in Economic Geology from Queen's University in Canada and has over 30 years of industry experience, including 15 years in technical roles with Teck Cominco and now 11 years as a mining executive with Lundin Mining. Dr. O'Brien also has several years of experience as a director on the board of junior exploration companies and extensive international experience in all stages of mineral exploration and development of base metal projects. He is a Canadian and British citizen, residing in Canada.

Peter Damouni has over 15 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets with expertise in the natural resource sector. Throughout his career, Mr. Damouni has led and worked on equity and debt financings valued over $5 billion and has experience in equity financings, restructurings, corporate valuations and advisory assignments. Mr. Damouni is a Director of Kerr Mines Inc, a TSX listed gold mining company and a Director of Silvergate Capital Partners. Mr. Damouni is a graduate of McGill University, Canada. He is a Canadian and British citizen, residing in the United Kingdom.

In addition, Jeremy Whybrow and Marcus Edwards-Jones have stepped down from the Board today.

Noricum Gold Managing Director Greg Kuenzel said, "I'm very pleased to welcome both Neil and Peter to the Board and believe that their appointments will significantly strengthen our management team as we look to advance our multiple gold and copper projects in Georgia. Neil brings a wealth of experience in the sector from exploration through to development and production. His PhD focussed on the unique VMS style of mineralisation similar to that found at Bolnisi so his insight will be invaluable as we progress the projects. Peter's extensive corporate knowledge and experience in investment banking and capital markets will provide support to the board as we continue to advance our projects in Georgia with a view to creating significant value for shareholders."

Dr Neil Patrick Matthew O'Brien, aged 55, currently holds or has held the following directorships and partnerships in the last five years:

Neil currently has an existing interest in 140,000,000 ordinary shares of no par value in the Company, which represents 2.92% of the issued share capital. Dr O'Brien also holds options over 30,000,000 new ordinary shares in Noricum Gold which are exercisable at a price of 0.14p per share and expire on 20 July 2021.

Mr Peter Damouni, aged 39, currently holds or has held the following directorships and partnerships in the last five years:

Peter currently has an existing interest in 18,750,000 ordinary shares of no par value in the Company, which represents 0.39% of the issued share capital. Mr Damouni also holds options over 100,000,000 new ordinary shares in Noricum Gold which are exercisable at a price of 0.14p per share and expire on 20 July 2021.
