BoardΒ Appointment
Promethean IndiaΒ PLC, an investment company that focuses on businesses that operate inΒ India, today announcesΒ the appointment of Gaurav Burman to its Board of Directors.
As a founding partner and senior member of the investment team, Gaurav has been at the helm of Promethean India since its launch in April 2007. HeΒ will be joiningΒ the Promethean Board with effectΒ fromΒ 1 JulyΒ 2008.
Gaurav, aged 36,Β has extensive experience within the IndianΒ capitalΒ markets. He was previouslyΒ an investment directorΒ at Dresdner Kleinwort Capital and prior toΒ this, Gaurav was based inΒ New Delhi,Β IndiaΒ where he worked for the Business Development team at Dabur India Ltd. In 1993,Β heΒ graduated fromΒ TuftsΒ University, with a dual degree in Economics and History.Β
Gaurav is currently a partner of Promethean India LLP and holds directorships in Dabur Oncology plc, Promethean Investments (Carry) Limited, Promethean Investment (General Partner) Limited, Intermediactive Group Limited and Promethean Investments Fund II (General Partner) Limited. Gaurav has previously been a director of KFS Group Ltd, Veemon Ltd and Quintessentially (UK) Ltd.
