AGM Statement
Distil (AIM: DIS), owner of premium drinks brands including Blackwoods Gin and Vodka, RedLeg Spiced Rum, Blavod Black Vodka, Diva Vodka and Jago's Vanilla Cream Liqueur, will hold its Annual General Meeting today at the offices of CMS Advisory Group Limited, 201 Temple Chambers, 3-7 Temple Avenue, London, EC4Y 0DT at 11a.m. At the meeting Don Goulding, Executive Chairman, will make the following statement:
"The new financial year has started well with both sales volumes and revenues strongly ahead of last year as our key brands gain greater exposure across a wide number of sales and distribution channels in the UK and overseas. RedLeg is performing particularly strongly in the UK following promotions across 400 UK supermarkets and continues to significantly increase volumes month on month thanks to this and its other recent listings. For the first time since 2012, we have started to ship Blavod Black Vodka to the USA again and Blackwoods, with both premium Gin and Vodka brands, is also performing well in the UK and USA. We have begun marketing Diva, our super premium wheat based vodka featuring a unique wand of Swarovski elements, in the UK and are confident that the re-launch of this brand will be well received by high end retailers in the coming year."
