Directorate change

Further to our announcement of 16 January 2015, Roy Burton has advised the Board of his intention to step down as Group Chief Executive due to ill health on 2 March 2015.

Richard Stuckes, who has been a Non-Executive Director of Dialight since 2009, has been appointed as Interim Group Chief Executive and will assume all executive responsibilities with immediate effect. A search for a permanent Group Chief Executive will now commence.

Roy will remain available to provide counsel and assistance as required and to ensure an orderly handover of his responsibilities.

All who know Roy will recognise the extent to which the business has benefited from his vision and relentless energy in building the platform for growth that he leaves as his legacy. At the same time, we would like to thank Richard for stepping into his new role. He has extensive and relevant experience which fully equip him to lead Dialight."

Roy Burton said: "I have been immensely privileged to have led Dialight. It is a tremendous wrench to be stepping down, but at this time my priority must be to focus on my health. Richard and I have worked successfully together over the past six years and he has my full support as he takes on the Interim Chief Executive role. I am most confident that with Richard at the helm and the management team I have assembled and developed in place that Dialight is perfectly positioned to capitalise on the substantial growth in LED lighting. I wish the team at Dialight every success in taking the company forward in 2015 and beyond."

Richard Stuckes was most recently Chief Executive Officer of DS Smith Packaging Limited. He was previously Managing Director of the paints business in EMEA for AkzoNobel, and Chief Executive Officer for Imperial Chemical Industries Paints UK and Ireland having spent 13 years with Philips Lighting, including a role as Managing Director for the UK and for both the Spanish and Portuguese businesses.
