D4t4 Solutions launches updates to Celebrus Fraud Data Platform

New features included for enhanced fraud detection

D4t4 Solutions Plc (AIM: D4t4, "the Group", "D4t4"), the AIM-listed data solutions provider, has launched the latest version of its behavioral biometrics Celebrus Fraud Data Platform ("FDP") with the new features of Tamper-proof Geolocation1, Time Series Anomaly Detection2 and Sense and Trace3.

The updates to Celebrus FDP are designed to ensure banks, insurance companies, retailers and other organisations can protect their consumers from online fraud while also providing a positive user experience. The platform was first released in June 2021 and has since been updated with advanced features to seamlessly prevent scams, given the proliferation of this type of fraud around the globe.

With the continual development of technology, fraud happens faster than ever before, and organisations need better data to stop fraud attempts and deliver the positive customer experience that consumers expect.

A study4 by Juniper Research predicts that online payment fraud losses will reach $206 billion by 2025. The research also found that spending on fraud detection and prevention platform services will exceed $11.8 billion (€9.9 billion) globally in 2025, from $9.3 billion (€7.8 billion) in 2021.

Bill Bruno, CEO of D4t4 Solutions, commented:

"The increased threat of online payment fraud to industries like banking, retailers and entertainment, combined with the ongoing evolution of digital commerce, has made it more important than ever before for businesses to protect their consumers and detect anomalous activity in real-time. As we build our customer pipeline in this space, these latest updates enhance our product offering and make Celebrus FDP even more effective in identifying the fraudster before the fraud."

1 Tamper-proof Geolocation

D4t4 customers can detect if users are attempting to hide their identity, and can respond in real-time to prevent fraudulent activity.

2 Time Series Anomaly Detection

This is a fully customisable anomaly detection technology which uses machine learning and data orchestration to better identify issues across a customer's digital channels. It can set acceptable ranges and outcomes to alert the business to anomalies outside of the set criteria. This includes detecting elevated levels of fraud attempts that may reveal Distributed Denial of Service attacks or vulnerabilities and faults within their digital infrastructure. The technology links to other models across a customer's organisation, allowing a holistic and integrated approach to fraud detection and prevention.

3 Sense and Trace

This capability allows organisations to better follow the activity of mule accounts often used by fraudsters to steal victims' money. With Sense and Trace, Celebrus FDP captures granular data and profiles digital activity in real-time to discover compromised identities. There are two components to Sense and Trace that ultimately ensure more fraud is detected in a timely manner. These are

· Identity search - this follows the trail from compromised identities to their mule accounts and onwards to find other compromised identities.

· Trip wire - sets an alarm on known mule accounts for when they are next used (for example, adding the mule account as a payee).
