Cropper(James) PLC06 February 2008 6 February 2008 Director's Shareholdings James Cropper PLC ('James Cropper' or the 'Company) Acquisition of Shares by the James Cropper Employee TrustThe Company announces that it received notification today that on 6 February 2008 James Cropper EBT Limited, trustees of the James Cropper Employee Trust, acquired 160,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence in the Company at an average of 230 pence per share. This was to satisfy future releases under the James Cropper plc2008 Long Term Incentive Plan in which the participants, including executive directors, have a potential interest subject to the achievement of performance targets. James Cropper EBT Limited is now interested in 160,000 ordinary shares of 25 pence each, which represents 1.88% of the issued share capital of the Company. The Directors of James Cropper EBT Limited include the following non-executive directors of the Company: James Cropper, Mark Cropper, Peter Herring and David Wilks.
