The Board of Creston plc ("Creston" or the "Company") announced on 15 September 2008 that the Company was in discussions regarding a possible offer for the Company with a private equity firm. These discussions have now ceased.

The Company is not in discussions with any other party regarding a potential offer for the Company.  Accordingly, the Company is no longer in an offer period for the purposes of the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers.

Creston is due to report its interim results for the period to 30 September ("Interims") on 27 November 2008 and, similar to its Quarter 1 interim management statement, will announce the continuation of a solid underlying performance.  New business activity continues to be positive and will be disclosed with an outlook statement in the Interims.
