The appointment is made with immediate effect. Since qualifying as a chartered accountant in1975, Mr Dougal, 55, has held anumber of senior management positions. He was Chief Executive of Hanson plc,the international building materials company between 1997 and 2002. Before thedemerger in 1997 of Hanson, the diversified industrial group, Mr Dougal held anumber of senior roles including Group Finance Director between 1995 and 1997.He is currently a non-executive director of Taylor Woodrow plc where he alsochairs its audit committee and is a non-executive director of Premier Farnellplc. His was also a non-executive director and member of the audit andremuneration committees of BPB plc from 2003 to 2005, and non-executive directorand member of the audit committee of Celtel International BV during 2004/2005. Commenting on the appointment, David Marshall, Chairman of Creston, said: "We are delighted that Andrew has agreed to join the Board of Creston at thisexciting stage in the Group's development.
