Contract Renewal for TV Licensing Services

Leading provider of integrated business services, Communisis plc (LSE: CMS), is pleased to announce that it has secured a contract renewal for the issuance of the UK's TV Licensing (TVL) communications and transactional mailing. The initial renewal term is 6 years with an option to extend by a further 4 years.

This contract is with Proximity London Ltd ("Proximity"), a contractor to the BBC, which has sub-contracted the fulfilment of Direct Marketing, Print and Fulfilment services for TV Licensing to Communisis. The contract was first novated by Proximity to Communisis in 2011. This coincided with the acquisition of Orchestra Bristol Limited in June 2011.

Communisis is responsible for successfully executing all communication campaigns across multiple channels, fulfilling 55m pieces of transactional mail and 15m emails per year. In support of response management in TV Licensing Contact Centres; the company processes up to 135 data files per day to meet specific release timings. Communisis also holds the Postal contract for TV Licensing via a separate contract.
