Communisis PLC02 May 2007 2nd May 2007 Communisis realigns key Barclays contract to focus on value added services Communisis plc ("Communisis" or "the Company"), a leading UK print and printmanagement business, is pleased to announce today that it has successfullycompleted a major realignment of its contract with Barclays plc. This will seeCommunisis charge market rates for a range of print related services includingdemand management, digital asset management, brand compliance and accountmanagement services. In line with the announced strategy, Communisis will provide print at no mark-upand Barclays will be provided with direct access to Communisis' print supplychain via Communsis' IQ (Instant Quote) software which will be installed on thedesktops of Barclays marketing campaign managers. This is the first time thatthe software has been made available to a client. This will give Barclaysaccess to instant quoting and spot-pricing in a competitive market and allow forthe direct online ordering of print. It will also allow campaign managers toimprove efficiencies and processes by matching specifications to lowest priceproduction and immediately assess the cost of modifications to the design ofprinted materials. These changes will deliver a substantial cost saving toBarclays. The duration of the original contract with Barclays remains unchanged.
