Calyx Group PLC29 June 2006 For Immediate Release 29 June 2006 Calyx Group PLC ("Calyx" or "the Company") Appointment of Non-Executive Directors Calyx, the largest single-source provider of information and communicationtechnology ("ICT") network solutions throughout Ireland, and who recentlyannounced the acquisition of the Matrix Companies for up to £40.5 million, istoday pleased to announce the appointments of Paul ("Gary") Kennedy and NicholasKoumarianos as Non-Executive Directors of the Company. These appointments willbe effective from 1 July 2006. Mr Kennedy (48) has previously been working as Group Director Finance withAllied Irish Banks Plc ("AIB"). Whilst at AIB Gary helped evolve AIB's USstrategy, and had responsibility for Poland at a time when the bank bought BankZachnodi for €600 million. Prior to this he has also worked for Nortel NetworksInc as Group Vice President of Enterprise Networks Europe and Managing Directorof Nortel (Ireland) Limited. Mr Kennedy's current directorships include; Gary Kennedy & Associates Limited,Data Voice International Limited, Elan Corporation and Galway UniversityFoundation. In the past five years his directorships have also included; AIBEuropean Investments Limited, Allfirst Financial Inc, Allied Irish BanksPensions Limited, Bank Zachnodi s.a., Bank Zachnodi WBK s.a., M&T BankCorporation, Manufacturers and Traders Trust Company, and IDA Ireland Mr Koumarianos (62) is currently the Chairman of Soft-ex Limited, a Director ofAthena Management Services Limited and Chairman of Dome Telecom Limited. He waspreviously a Managing Director of the Caribbean & Atlantic Islands division ofCable & Wireless, Chairman of Microsol Limited and Xnet Limited and a Directorof Alphyra Plc. Mr Koumarianos resigned as Chairman of Xnet Information Systems Limited in April2002 and in July 2002 this company was placed into Voluntary Liquidation.
