Transaction in own shares

Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 9 August 2013 it purchased 500,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price of 1835 pence per share. The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase of shares, Caledonia's issued share capital includes 55,411,017 ordinary shares of 5p each with voting rights.
