Transaction in own shares

Caledonia Investments plc ("Caledonia") announces that on 22 March 2012 it purchased 10,000 of its own ordinary shares of 5p each at an average price of 1528.16 pence per share. The purchased shares will be cancelled.

Following the above purchase of shares, Caledonia's issued share capital includes 57,378,801 ordinary shares of 5p each with voting rights.
