Board Change
The Board of Clarksons today announces that Martin Stopford is stepping down from his position as Executive Director of the Clarkson PLC Board, with immediate effect.
Bob Benton, Chairman of Clarksons, commented: "After seven years on the Board Martin has decided, as always anticipated, to retire from his position as a Clarkson PLC Executive Director. He will continue to act as President of Clarkson Research Services and consultant to the Group on maritime economics.
Martin has been an invaluable member of the Board, sharing his insights and market analysis during a fascinating period in the shipping markets. On behalf of the Board I would like to thank him for his hard work, commitment and wise counsel."
Martin Stopford commented: "Clarksons is a great company to work for and I feel privileged to continue my involvement through this exciting new role."
