Catlin Group Limited03 March 2005 CATLIN GROUP LIMITED NOTIFICATION OF INTERESTS IN THE SHARES OF CATLIN GROUP LIMITED Catlin Group Limited ("the Company"), on 2 March 2005, received notificationthat as at 28 February 2005: (i) Western General Insurance Ltd ("Western General") has ceased to be interested in 13,442,657 Common Shares (8.7%); (i) Western General is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Western International Financial Group Ltd ("WIFG") which is owned as to 75% by CIBC Trust Company (Bahamas) Limited as trustee of a trust, Settlement T-2390 ("CIBC Trust"); (iii) Western General and WIFG have ceased to have notifiable interests in the Common Shares of the Company; (iv) the CIBC Trust is interested in 10,356,393 Common Shares (6.7%), comprising 10,081,993 Common Shares (6.5%) of which it is the registered holder and a further 274,400 Common Shares (0.2%) held by its subsidiary Western General, an interest in which is attributed to the CIBC Trust under the Company's Bye-laws.
