Appointment to the Board

Chaarat (AIM: CGH), the AIM quoted company developing the Chaarat Gold Deposit in the Kyrgyz Republic, announces the appointment with immediate effect of Robert Benbow as an executive director to the Board of Chaarat.
Robert's appointment as Chief Operating Officer was announced on 25 June 2018. He has worked with Chaarat since September 2016.
During his 40 year career Robert has worked with junior exploration companies to bring them into production and transform them into operating companies. He has taken three green field gold developments into production and from 2007, he served as Vice President and Country Manager for Alacer Gold Corp. responsible for the organizational development and start-up of the Çöpler Gold Mine in Eastern Turkey. He also served as Senior Vice President Strategic Projects where his primary responsibility was the advancement of Çöpler's Sulfide Project. The Copler mine has produced over 1 million ounces as one of the lowest cost producers in the world.
At Alacer, Bob built a team of expatriates and Turkish nationals to execute the successful start-up of the Çöpler open pit heap leach operation. The Çöpler mine is now completing development of a refractory ore pressure oxidation project. The heap leach and refractory ore projects that are part of Chaarat's development plans will benefit directly from Bob's relevant experience.
He will continue to build and develop Chaarat's Tulkubash Project and oversee mining operations once in production. Robert's appointment to the Board reflects the importance of delivering full value from the Company's assets in the Kyrgyz Republic, and highlights his ability to support Chaarat's M&A activities.
