Caffyns plc ("the Company") announces that it has today exchanged contracts with Ability Contractors Limited for the sale of its vacant freehold site at East Grinstead for Β£1.0 million. The gain on sale will be approximately Β£160,000. The consideration is payable in cash on 28 March 2011.

The proceeds will be applied in reducing the Company's borrowings.
