AGM STATEMENT

David Green, Chairman of Colefax Group Plc, will make the following comment on current trading at the Company's AGM later today.

Since we announced our final results in July, trading in all our major markets has continued to improve against weak prior year comparatives. In our core fabric division like-for-like sales for the four months to 31 August 2010 are up by 10% in the US, 20% in the UK and 13% in Europe. As the Company enters its important autumn selling season we remain cautious about the trading outlook, especially in the UK where the general economy is likely to be affected by tax increases and government spending cuts. In the US, which is our most important market, sales are showing a slow but steady improvement following exceptionally weak trading last year.
