Notification of Transactions of Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities
Card Factory announces that it has been notified by Kristian Lee, Chief Financial Officer, that he has cancelled his participation in the Card Factory plc SAYE Scheme ("SAYE Scheme") in respect of awards granted in July 2018.
The SAYE Scheme is a UK tax qualified scheme whereby UK employees can choose to make monthly savings over a 3 year period, subject to a cap of £250 per month for each annual award and a cap of £500 per month over multiple annual schemes. For each award, after 3 years, savings can be used to purchase Card Factory plc shares, under an option granted prior to the relevant 3 year period, at a 20% discount to the share value immediately prior to applications for that scheme being invited.
On 20 October 2020, Kristian Lee cancelled participation in the SAYE Scheme in respect of an award made in July 2018, pursuant to which he was granted an option to acquire up to 5,590 ordinary shares in the capital of Card Factory plc on or after 1 August 2021, at a price of £1.61 per share.
The Company granted Kristian Lee an option to acquire up to 5,844 ordinary shares in the capital of Card Factory plc, at a price of £1.54 per share, in July 2019, pursuant to the SAYE Scheme. This option remains exercisable from 1 August 2022.
The Company has invited applications for participation in the SAYE Scheme and will announce details of any option that may be granted, in respect of any Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities.
This notification is made in accordance with Article 19 of the Market Abuse Regulation and the Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
