Update on Share Pledge by a Director
Central Asia Metals plc (AIM: CAML) announces it has today been informed that on 12 April 2017, JSC CenterCredit Bank ("CenterCredit") released security over 10,605,875 ordinary shares of US$0.01 each (the "Shares") of the 21,211,751 shares that were pledged to it as part of a loan agreement on 1 July 2014 by SDB Group , an entity 100 per cent. owned and controlled by Kenges Rakishev, a Non-Executive Director of the Company. CenterCredit retains security over the remaining 10,605,876 shares.
The Company has been further informed of Mr Rakishev's intention to re-pledge the Shares. A further announcement will be made in due course once this pledge is completed.
