BATM Advanced Communications Limited ("BATM" or "the Company")

AGM Statement

The following statement will be made by Peter Sheldon, Chairman of BATM, at the Company's Annual General Meeting being held today at 11.00am:

"BATM issued its Interim Management Statement ("IMS") on 18 May 2010. The IMS reflects the trading position of the Company to date and our expectations continue to be in line with the guidance reported in the IMS.

Board Developments

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank Dr Dan Kaznelson for his twelve years of service to BATM. Dan has chaired both the audit and remuneration committees for the past few years and made a most useful contribution to the Board. Koti Gavish and Ariella Zochovitsky, who will be stepping down from the Board in September 2010 after completing the second of their three year terms, have also made a valuable contribution to the Board and our thanks are due to them as well. I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome our new non-executive directors, Roger Lacey, Professor Gideon Chitayat and Amos Shani, who both individually and collectively bring a wealth of relevant experience and expertise to the Board.

"Next year I will reach 70 and will have served on the Board of BATM for 12 years, 11 of those as Chairman. I have advised the Board of my intention to retire from the Board at the next AGM and we will be actively commencing our search for a new Chairman shortly. I would like to thank my Board colleagues for their support during this period which has seen the company grow significantly. Notwithstanding the recent setback in profitability, from which I believe we will recover quickly, I am confident that our shareholders have invested in a Company with the capacity to continue to grow further".
