Board appointments

Breedon Aggregates Limited, the UK's largest independent aggregates group, has appointed Ian Peters as Group Finance Director and Susie Farnon FCA as a Non-executive Director. They take up their appointments on 1 November 2010.

Ian Peters

Ian (aged 45) has more than 20 years' experience in the European aggregates industry, initially in financial controller roles within the UK aggregates business of Hanson. Following the demerger of Hanson plc in 1997, Ian was appointed Group Financial Controller and was involved in the completion of £2.5 billion of acquisitions. He was Finance and Development Director of Hanson Building Materials Europe between 2000 and 2003. After a year as Finance Director, Continental Europe and Asia, in 2004 Ian was appointed General Manager, Continental Europe.

Ian joined the senior management team of Marwyn Materials Limited in 2008 and worked closely with the Chairman and Chief Executive on the reverse acquisition of Breedon Holdings Limited in September 2010.

Ian holds 1,833,333 ordinary shares of no par value in the Company representing 0.33% of the issued share capital.

Susie Farnon FCA

Susie (aged 50) was a Banking and Finance Partner with KPMG Channel Islands from 1990 until 2001 and Head of Audit KPMG Channel Islands from 1999. She has served as President of the Guernsey Society of Chartered and Certified Accountants and as a member of The States of Guernsey Audit Commission and The Guernsey Public Accounts Committee. She is a Commissioner of The Guernsey Financial Services Commission and a Director of a number of private property and investment companies.

Susie Farnon holds 989,840 ordinary shares of no par value in the Company representing 0.18% of the issued share capital.

The Board of Breedon believe that Susie Farnon is independent from the Breedon management and Marwyn.

* Cenkos Channel Islands Limited is a 50% owned subsidiary of Cenkos Securities plc. Susie Farnon's service contract is solely with Cenkos Channel Islands Limited and she has no involvement in Cenkos Securities plc.
