DIVIDEND DECLARATION AND SPECIAL DIVIDEND

BioPharma Credit PLC (LSE: BPCR), the specialist life sciences debt investor, is pleased to declare an interim dividend in respect of the financial period ending 31 December 2017 of $0.021 per ordinary share, payable on 29 March 2018 to ordinary shareholders on the register as at 09 March 2018. The Company has chosen to designate the entire amount of this interim dividend as an interest distribution. Shareholders in receipt of such a dividend will be treated for UK tax purposes as though they have received a payment of interest. This will result in a reduction in the corporation tax payable by the Company.

The $0.021 return comprises an ordinary dividend of $0.01, the Company's third quarterly dividend since listing on the London Stock Exchange on 27 March 2017, and a special dividend of $0.011 which includes additional consideration received on some investments in the form of structuring fees, which are paid on completion of the transaction.

The company continues to target an initial dividend yield of 4% per annum and, once substantially invested, will target an annual dividend yield of 7% per annum.

The default payment for dividends is in US dollars. However, shareholders can elect to have dividends paid in sterling (GBP) and the option to elect a sterling dividend payment for this dividend will be available to shareholders until 9 March 2018 (the "Election Date"). The sterling equivalent dividend payment will be announced as soon as practicable following the Election Date.
