Borders & Southern Petroleum plc15 December 2006 15 December 2006 Borders & Southern Petroleum (the "Company") Total Voting Rights In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6, theCompany notifies the market of the following: As at the date of this announcement, the Company's issued share capital consistsof 127,687,500 ordinary shares with a nominal value of 1 pence each ("OrdinaryShares"), with voting rights. The Company does not hold any Ordinary Shares in Treasury. Therefore, the total number of Ordinary Shares with voting rights is 127,687,500. The above figure of 127,687,500 Ordinary Shares may be used by shareholders inthe Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determineif they are required to notify their interest in, or a change in their interestin, the share capital of the Company under the FSA's Disclosure and TransparencyRules.
