Bunzl makes safety acquisitions in Spain
Bunzl plc, the specialist international distribution and services Group, today announces that it has recently completed two further acquisitions.
In July the Company completed the acquisition of Proin Pinilla, the largest independent safety distributor to end-users in Spain, with a focus on personal protection equipment (PPE) and specialising in workwear. The business generated £15 million of revenue in 2020. In addition, Bunzl completed the acquisition of Arprosa in July, which also distributes PPE to end-users in Spain. The business generated £7 million of revenue in 2020.
Commenting on the acquisitions, Frank van Zanten, Chief Executive Officer of Bunzl, said:
"I am pleased to announce two acquisitions today, with Proin Pinilla and Arprosa both broadening our safety offering in Spain and expanding our customer base. Year to date we have now completed eight acquisitions and with the strength of our cash generation continue to see significant opportunity to self-fund further acquisitions. Our pipeline remains active and discussions ongoing."
