BUNZL APPOINTS NEW NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Bunzl plc, the specialist international distribution and services Group, today announces the appointment of Jacky Simmonds as a non-executive director and as a member of the Remuneration, Audit, Nomination and Board Sustainability Committees. Jacky will join the Board and the aforesaid Committees with effect from 1 March 2023.

Jacky is presently Chief People Officer of Experian plc. She has significant knowledge and experience across all aspects of HR, with particular expertise in employee engagement, transformational change, board and leadership succession planning, employee relations, and talent management. She was formerly Chief People Officer of VEON Ltd., a global connectivity and digital services provider listed on the Nasdaq and Euronext. Prior to this, she held the role of Group People Director at easyJet plc and TUI Travel Group and was a member of the companies' Executive Committees. She was also previously a non-executive director of Ferguson plc.

Following Jacky's appointment, the proportion of female directors on the Board will exceed the diversity target outlined in the Hampton-Alexander Review, and the Financial Conduct Authority's new diversity target (which applies to financial years starting on or after 1 April 2022), that at least 40% of a company's board should be women.
