BUNZL EXPANDS WITH FURTHER ACQUISITIONS IN THE UK AND THE US

Bunzl plc, the international distribution and outsourcing Group, today announces that it has acquired two further businesses in the UK and the US.

Purchased at the end of December, Woodway is a leading supplier of both packaging products and solutions to a variety of end user customers in a number of market sectors throughout the UK. Based in Northampton, the business specialises in supporting the e-commerce activities of customers operating in the retail supplies sector. Revenue in the year ended 30 June 2016 was £31 million.

In January Bunzl acquired the business of Packaging Film Sales (PFS). Based in Denver, Colorado, PFS is principally engaged in the sale of food packaging products, including flexible barrier films and specialty bags and pouches, to food processors. Revenue in the year ended 31 December 2015 was US$6 million.

The Company also confirms that at the beginning of January it completed the acquisition of Sæbe Compagniet, that was announced on 22 November 2016, following clearance of the transaction by the Danish competition authority.
