Board Appointment
Bloomsbury is delighted to announce that Penny Scott-Bayfield will be joining the Board as Group Finance Director on 16th July 2018. She succeeds Wendy Pallot who will step down from the Board on that day, following the Company announcement about this on 21st December 2017 and leave on 18th July following the Company's AGM.
Penny Scott-Bayfield is currently Finance Director of Conde Nast Britain. Prior to joining Conde Nast, Ms Scott-Bayfield held senior finance roles at Sky Plc and lastminute.com plc. She qualified as an accountant with Deloitte.
Her appointment follows a comprehensive search process using the services of a leading independent search firm. She will stand for re-election at the Company's next annual general meeting.
Commenting on the appointment Sir Richard Lambert, Chairman of Bloomsbury said, "We are very happy to welcome Penny Scott-Bayfield to the Board. She is an experienced Finance Director of a UK media company with specific experience of digital content, rapidly changing markets and growing new revenue streams.
