AGM Statement
Avon will be holding its Annual General Meeting ("AGM") at its Melksham facility at 10:30am GMT today.
Trading in the first quarter was in line with expectations and the Group outlook for the full year remains consistent with the guidance given with the FY24 results in November.
Avon has seen continued order momentum in Q1, as evidenced by recent wins, which have further strengthened the Group's long term order book, including:
· an $18m delivery order for the Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System (NG IHPS) helmet for the U.S. Army;
· a renewal contract valued up to £10m with Thales UK to support a critical UK defence programme.
The Group continues to make good operational progress on the STAR strategy, embedding a culture of continuous improvement alongside its focus on footprint optimisation and operational excellence.
The Board remains confident that the Group's strategic initiatives will support sustained growth and improved returns over the long term and that Avon remains well positioned to deliver exceptional shareholder value.
