Avanti Communications Group plc ("Avanti") announces that Adam Kleinman has joined the Board of Avanti as a non-executive director replacing Peter Reed who is resigning with effect from 12 March 2019.

Mr Kleinman is the President and Chief Operating Officer of Great Elm Capital Group, Inc., the Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Great Elm Capital Management, Inc. and the Chief Compliance Officer of Great Elm Capital Corp. Prior to joining Great Elm, Mr. Kleinman was a Partner and the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel at a Boston-based registered investment adviser from 2009 to 2017. From 2004 to 2009, Mr. Kleinman was an Associate in the Banking and Leveraged Finance group at Bingham McCutchen LLP where he represented leading financial institutions, hedge funds and corporate borrowers in a broad range of commercial finance transactions.

The following information is disclosed pursuant to Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies:

As at today's date, Mr Kleinman does not hold any ordinary shares in the capital of the Company. Mr Kleinman holds a beneficial interest in Great Elm Capital Corporation, which holds approximately 9.1% of Avanti's issued ordinary share capital.

There are no further disclosures to be made pursuant to Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules for Companies in respect of Mr Kleinman's appointment.
