Avocet Mining PLC13 February 2007 AVOCET MINING PLC Appointment of Non-Executive Director Avocet Mining PLC (AIM:AVM) announces the appointment of Robbie Robertson as anon-executive director with immediate effect. Robert Sinclair Robertson (aged 55) has over 30 years' global experience in theextractive industry. Previous roles Robbie has held include finance director ofAnglo American's South American operations, head of Anglo's Industrial Mineralsdivision, in addition to other positions in the group in Europe, South Africa,and North America. He is also Chairman of AIM listed West China Cement.
