ISSUE OF SHARES

EMED Mining Public Limited ("EMED Mining") today announced that it has issued a total of 375,000 new ordinary shares of 0.25 pence in the Company ("new ordinary shares") to VSA Capital Limited. VSA Capital Limited have exercised their option to purchase the shares at a price of 8p per share pursuant to the terms of an option agreement between VSA Capital Limited (Previously VSA Resources) and EMED Mining dated 06 May 2005.

Application has been made for the admission of the 375,000 Ordinary Shares to trading on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange ("Admission"). Admission is expected to become effective on or around 06 May 2011. Following Admission, EMED Mining will have a total of 700,616,573 ordinary shares in issue. Application will also be made for quotation of the new shares on the TSX.
