Atlantic Coal plc ("Atlantic Coal" or the "Company")

Director shareholding

Atlantic Coal, the AIM listed anthracite coal mining company operating in Pennsylvania, USA, was informed on 17th September 2013 by Peter Chinneck, Non-Executive Director of the Company, that on 16th September 2013, 156,000,000 ordinary shares of 0.07p each in the Company ("Ordinary Shares") in which Mr Chinneck has a beneficial interest, were transferred from Brewin Nominees to Brewin 1762 Nominees Ltd, for nil consideration (the "Transfer"). Following the Transfer, Mr Chinneck's beneficial interest in the Company remains unchanged at 213,000,000 Ordinary Shares, representing 5.5% of the Company's issued ordinary share capital. The Transfer was automated as a result of a change in nominee account at the broking firm where Mr Chinneck holds his shares in ATC and was not as a result of any request by Mr Chinneck.
