Board Changes and Operating Update

The board of Arkle (AIM:ARK) wish to announce that following the announcement dated 24 July 2020, Patrick Cullen, previously Chief Executive Officer, has stepped down with immediate effect. The board would like to thank him for his commitment to Arkle and wish him well for the future. John Teeling has taken the role of acting Chief Executive Officer together with his role as Non-Executive Chairman.

Gavin Berkenheger, technical advisor to the board and former Technical Director has taken over the day to day running of the two Arkle gold projects.

In Mine River, Wicklow, Arkle holds a strategic block of licences covering a 15 kilometre gold bearing trend. Fieldwork will commence shortly to refine drill targets identified in recent work.

In Donegal earlier drilling discovered high grade gold in the Meeneragh Glentogher area. Once ground access is obtained a soil sampling programme will be undertaken to better define the extent of the gold veins.

John Teeling, and Jim Finn, Finance Director, have taken control of the Company's zinc projects. Both zinc projects are joint ventures with our partners as operators. The directors will play an active role on the operating boards controlling the projects. On the Stonepark project, in Limerick, the fully funded drilling is expected to commence during August. Stonepark is a joint venture between Arkle and Group 11 (23.44%, 76.56%). The remaining zinc licences, in the midlands, which are joint ventured with Teck Resources are under review.
