Based on cyanoacrylate (super-glue) technology, LiquiBandTM is a tissue adhesivethat is used to close wounds as an alternative to sutures, staples and adhesivestrips. The global wound closure market is valued at $5 billion of which tissueadhesives are estimated to make up around $100 million. LiquiBandTM is marketleader in the UK Accident and Emergency arena. A product aimed specifically atclosing surgical incisions in the operating room, LiquiBand SurgicalTM, waslaunched in 2004. The LiquiBandTM and LiquiBand SurgicalTM product range hasalready been introduced in many countries in Europe and AMS had been activelyseeking a partner for the major markets of France and Spain.
