Amphion Innovations plc Partner Company DataTern Signs IP License
Agreement with VISA
London and New York, 17 October 2008 - Amphion Innovations plc (LSE: AMP) ("Amphion"), today announces that DataTern, Inc., has agreed a non-exclusive license of its key ObjectSpark® database patents to VISA Inc. and VISA USA., Inc. Terms of the license agreement are in line with management's expectations about the value and breadth of this technology.
Joseph Flicek, DataTern's Chief Executive Officer, said, "Following the license agreement with RedHat, this settlement with VISA provides additional evidence of the industry's acceptance of DataTern's ObjectSpark® technologies. DataTern is currently in active licensing discussions with ten companies. The Directors and I believe there are a large number of other potential licensees and I look forward to being able to announce further developments in the near future."
DataTern, Inc., wholly owned by Amphion Innovations plc, was established in order to commercialize selected intellectual property opportunities in partnership with Amphion's Partner Companies.
