CSRC'S APPROVAL ON PLACING OF A SHARES

Overseas Regulatory Announcement

On 11 October 2010, the Public Offering Review Committee of China Securities Regulatory Commission ("CSRC") has reviewed the application for placing of A shares by Air China Limited (the "Company"). According to the review results, the application for placing of A shares by the Company has received an unconditional approval. The Company will publish a further announcement once the Company receives a formal approval from CSRC.

This announcement is issued by the Company pursuant to Rule 13.09(2) of the Rules Governing the Listing of Securities on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited.
