Interim dividend - determination of US$ Dollar equivalent and Dividend Reinvestment Plan
Further to the announcement made by AEP on 24 August 2023, the Company is announcing further details in respect of the US dollar equivalent and Dividend Reinvestment Plan for the interim dividend.
As was announced on 24 August 2023, the Company will pay an interim dividend of 15.0cts per share in respect of the year ended 31 December 2023 (2022: nil). The interim dividend will be paid on 6 October 2023 to those shareholders on the register on 8 September 2023.
In addition, the Company announced that shareholders can choose to receive dividends in Pounds Sterling and they can do so at the rate ruling on 8 September 2023, being the dividend record date. In the absence of any specific instruction up to the date of closing of the register on 8 September 2023, shareholders with addresses in the UK are deemed to have elected to receive their dividends in Sterling and those with addresses outside of UK in US Dollar. The last day to elect to receive or revoke a currency election is 15 September 2023.
AEP operates a dividend re-investment plan ("DRIP"). Holders of shares may elect to reinvest their interim dividend. The latest election date is 15 September 2023.
Please note, if a holder makes a partial DRIP election for shares, then the dividend for the remaining shares will be paid in Pound Sterling.
